Oil on board. 60x45cm. SOLD. This is the latest version of a composition I`ve painted several times now. There is a richness to the tones and colours in this piece which I find irresistible. For me the light in the picture conjurers up the feeling of being in the countryside of a winter`s afternoon. Contre-jour (that is looking directly into the sun) this view embodies the influence that McIntosh Patrick has had on my work.
