This is one of my 2022 paintings depicting Autumn in the Angus countryside. A very enjoyable piece to work on - I always prefer to work on landscapes which have a limited amount of green. Here I've tried to capture the evocative light and atmosphere of this season in a part of Scotland I know very well, having lived near the village of Fern some years back.
